Earlier today, the series starring Rebecca Romijn was cancelled by ABC. The network will complete production on its initial 13-episode commitment to the programme. However, the scheduling of the remainder of the shows, which have aired on Wednesdays at 10pm, has not yet been announced.
Ugly Betty has struggled in the ratings since it was moved to Friday nights for its fourth season.
It is understood that the programme is being considered by ABC executives to fill the spot left open by Eastwick, beginning on January 10, as part of an effort to restructure Betty, a source told E!.
Insiders added that no decision has been officially reached, or how the move would affect Lost's sixth and final season - which is likely to air at 9pm on Wednesdays when it returns.
