It was previously reported that the final episode of the ABC comedy will feature a wedding, but series creator Silvio Horta refused to reveal whether Gorham's rumoured return was connected.
Characters tipped to make it to the altar include Betty, Amanda, Wilhelmina, Marc, Hilda and Ignacio.
Weighing in on the possibility of Betty getting married, Michael Urie (Marc) suggested that she should end up single by the final episode.
"I don't think the right guy has come along yet for Betty," he told Entertainment Weekly. "Besides, I don't think [fans] would be truly satisfied if she ended up with anybody'."
Ugly Betty continues Wednesdays at 10pm on ABC.
