The teams are instructed to choose one of seven locked briefcases and take a taxi to the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club where they will find the combination.
They must row an inflatable dinghy to an offshore yacht where they will be handed a watch by the Sheik on board. They must then figure out that the time on the watch is the combination for the locked briefcase.
Detour: The Locked Briefcase
Meghan and Cheyne are the first team to depart and arrive at the docks. Cheyne decides to be the rower and retrieves the watch from the Sheik. The pair quickly crack the combination and are handed their next clue.
Brian and Ericka are the second to depart, followed by Flight Time and Big Easy, Gary and Matt, Sam and Dan, Maria and Tiffany and finally, Mika and Canaan.
While Brian and Ericka complete the challenge, disaster strikes for the Globetrotters after their taxi driver takes them to the wrong location. Nevertheless, they are the fourth team to arrive at the dock following Gary and Matt. Big Easy finds that he is too big for the small boat and ends up using his arms to row.
The Globetrotters retrieve their watch but struggle with the combination as Sam and Dan, Maria and Tiffany and Mika and Canaan all arrive and complete the challenge. The duo joke that if they take any longer then Lance and Keri might show up. They finally crack the code and are the last to leave the dock feeling embarrassed.
Roadblock: Gold or Glass

In glass, the teams must locate a spice market and choose a crate of broken down hookahs. They must utilise parts from the crate to construct 12 hookahs using three display ones as their guide.
Cheyne and Meghan opt for the glass challenge but soon get frustrated by the intricacies of reassembling the hookahs. Elsewhere, Brian and Ericka choose the gold option but struggle without a calculator and soon decide to switch to glass. They arrive at the spice market to find that Cheyne and Meghan have completed the challenge and been handed their next clue.
Back at the jewellers, Sam and Dan and Maria and Tiffany arrive for the gold roadblock. The teams' alliance continues as Maria immediately figures out what they need to do and borrows the boys' calculator in exchange for sharing the answer. Both teams quickly achieve the next clue.
Over in the spice market, Brian and Ericka become frustrated when they get their first few attempts wrong. They continue to try as Gary and Matt, Mika and Canaan and the Globetrotters arrive. Eventually they crack the challenge, leading the Globetrotters to reason that if it took them two hours then it would better to switch to the gold option.
Gary and Matt are next to finish their challenge, although Matt needs to sit down after becoming overwhelmed by the heat. Next to secure the clue are Mika and Canaan, followed by the Globetrotters, who borrow a calculator to crack the gold exchange rate.
Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai

Next to attempt the slide are Maria and Tiffany, followed by Sam and Dan and Brian and Ericka. They all successfully retrieve the clue, while Mika and Canaan arrive at the resort. Despite wearing armbands and having Canaan for support, Mika freaks out at the height and refuses to go down. Canaan tries to reason with her about the $1 million dollar prize, adding: "I'm begging you, you are breaking my heart. You will regret not doing this."
The Globetrotters arrive at the slide and Mika has two minutes to go down before she must forfeit her team's place. The basketballers tell her not to go down if she is scared, leading Canaan to say: "I thought you were decent, Big Easy, you're a piece of crap." In the end, the pair must sacrifice their place and let the Globetrotters overtake them.
Pitstop: Dolphin Bay Beach, Atlantis
Meghan and Cheyne are the first team to arrive at the pitstop and each wins a personal watercraft. They are followed by Maria and Tiffany and Sam and Dan, who greet each other with hugs. "Sam and Dan definitely had a Baywatch moment," jokes Tiffany. "They looked cute in their little red shorts. They looked fine on that beach!"
After their waterslide disaster, Mika and Canaan are the last team to arrive at the pitstop. Phil tells them that it was one of the most dramatic finishes he has ever seen in the Amazing Race.
The final positions are:
1. Cheyne and Meghan
2. Maria and Tiffany
3. Sam and Dan
4. Brian and Ericka
5. Matt and Gary
6. Flight Time and Big Easy
"I feel like I let Canaan down and myself," says Mika, prompting Canaan to say: "I don't hold it against [her]. That could have been me up there crippled by fear. There's freedom in forgiveness and understanding people aren't perfect and neither are you."
The Amazing Race continues next Sunday on CBS.
