Ashley and Lulu revealed that they were unsure about Bianca, while Nicole criticised them for "always taking about someone" and "judging Bianca without ever really talking to her".
The first Tyra Mail saw the girls meet with Miss J for runway coaching, were they were introduced to 9-year-old model Diva Davanna who has been working since the age of 4 and has appeared in over 200 fashion shows. "Miss J is trying to prove you don't have to be tall to walk tall," explained Ashley.
Back at the house, Bianca claimed that she missed Courtney but quickly soured when Sundai alleged that Courtney had not been that good a friend. She claimed that Courtney was only Bianca's friend because of her own friendship with Lulu, leading Bianca to say that her guard was now up and she didn't know who to trust.
This week's challenge took place at a Malibu mansion, where Miss J informed the girls that they were going to take part in a catwalk show alongside models of 5ft 10in or taller. The prize for wining was an advertorial campaign in Seventeen magazine for Excite Prom Dresses. To win they needed to impress the magazine's editor-in-chief Ann Shoket.
Miss J and Ann were happy with Bianca, Laura and Brittany but suggested that Lulu didn't have the walk right despite her "beautiful smile and eyes". Ashley was praised for her "cute wiggle" but Miss J said again that she needed to escape her dancing background. Brittany was named the winner and she chose Laura and Kara to join her for the shoot.
Back at the house, Nicole and Bianca had a heart-to-heart talk in the hot tub. Bianca revealed that she had been in an abusive relationship and was still "trying to get over it and feel beautiful again". She added that "as hard as my exterior is, I'm one of the most sensitive people in the world". Elsewhere, Ashley was overheard saying that Bianca is just putting on a front.
This week's photoshoot was all about elongation and the girls were instructed to use a set covered in boxes and ropes to make themselves look taller. Jay Manuel praised Laura, Jennifer, Nicole, Ashley and Erin, who he described as "disgustingly gorgeous". He also credited Bianca for achieving a "softer expression" and said that Kara had "the potential" to engage. He was less happy with Brittany, Sundai, Rae and Lulu ("this was her worst shoot - it was boring".)
For the judging, Tyra, Nigel and Miss J were joined by guest Jaime Rishar - a 5ft 6in supermodel who was the first girl to ever appear on two consecutive covers of Italian Vogue. Tyra began by explaining why she wanted the models to practice elongation, saying that although she purposefully chose shorter girls, that was "not enough in high fashion and you need to appear taller if necessary".
They praised Erin, Sundai, Jennifer, Nicole and Kara, and gave credit to Bianca for having a "beautiful face" despite lacking elongation. They were less impressed by Laura (poor foot positioning), Brittany (needed to elongate neck), Lulu (not a fashion picture), Ashley (not "smeyes-ing") and Rae (not elongated).
The best photo of the week, which will hang in the Top Model house, was judged to be Cara's. The bottom two were named as Lulu and Brittany. Tyra explained that the former was one of Nigel's "favourite girls to look at in the room" but she failed to inhale on camera, while the latter looked very short this week despite nailing the elongation in her previous picture. In the end, Lulu was sent home.
"It sucks to be eliminated. I'm going to go home and work on the things that Tyra told me to," she said. "This is not the end of the road for me. Top Model opened a lot of doors for me and I'm going to enter those doors."
America's Next Top Model continues next Wednesday on The CW.
