Elsewhere, Kara admits to Jennifer that she is worried that either Nicole or Erin might win the cycle and that she would be forever associated with them.
Jennifer suggests that Nicole could "go far" in the competition but not "all the way".
"I'm not a big fan of Nicole. I try to avoid her as much as possible," explains Kara. "She is definitely just awkward and slow and she'll make a fool of herself every five words that come out of her mouth."
The first Tyra Mail is delivered while the models are in their limo. It reads, 'Now that you've learned to smize, let's see what you can do without your eyes'. The girls arrive at a dance studio and are met by posing instructor Benny Ninja and choreographer Lil' Mama.
Ashley is thrilled by the challenge but the other models are less enthusiastic after their initial efforts are panned. To help with their movement, they are treated to a performance by the JabbaWockeeZ but are shocked when Benny says they will have to perform their own dances in front of an audience later that day.
Ashley worries that her team won't catch on to the moves, but Erin is confident that dance instructor Ashley will provide them with a good routine.
They are all given one hour to rehearse before their performances are judged by Benny and Lil' Mama. Team one are praised for their sexiness and modern style, while team two are described as basic but still good. Less successful are team three, with Benny explaining he was confused by their movement. Team one are declared the winners.
Back at the house, Ashley suggests her group was the only one to actually include dance moves and suggests that she could have won if she had been dancing alone. She later admits to feeling very down and not knowing what she is doing wrong in the competition.
First up is Brittany, Jennifer and Rae. Jay praises Brittany and Rae but suggests Jennifer "fell flat" and forgot everything she had learned. Second is Sundai, Erin and Nicole. Jay praises Sundai and Erin but criticises Nicole for lacking sparkle. Last to pose are Ashley, Laura and Kara. He praises Laura and Kara, but says the latter fades into the background. Ashley is accused of squatting and looking bored.
Tyra, Miss J and Nigel are joined by Josie Maran for the judging. They praise Brittany, Rae, Laura, Erin and Sundai. Nicole gets mixed reviews, with Nigel saying "it's not the prettiest, but it works". Kara is branded good but doesn't stand out. Less fortunate are Jennifer ("killed the shot in a negative way") and Ashley ("weak and looks like she's not trying").
Tyra explains that Kara is one of their favourite girls because of her natural ability but she needs to push herself harder, while they worry Ashley has become lost and cannot move despite her dancing background. In the end, Ashley is eliminated.
"I do feel cut short, I feel like I have so much more to give and show," she says. "I think it's more I wanted to a lot more and keep on proving that I could do more. I came into this telling myself, 'You can be a model, you've never done it before but it's something you can do'. It hurts to be going home right now. It sucks. It's a bad feeling."
