She goes on to say that she knows she is doing the right thing by being in the competition but needs to stand out more among the other girls.
Elsewhere, Erin laments the fact that Nicole can take a great picture but brands her "socially inept" and reckons that her own personality would be easier for people to relate to.
The first Tyra Mail of the week arrives: "You think you know this competition inside and out, we'll see." After some of the girls question whether she has read the message correctly, Laura admits that she is severely dyslexic and has been called stupid throughout her life.
The girls arrive at the CBS studios and are taken to a room where Lara Spencer, the host of The Insider, is interviewing comedian Ant. They explain that if the models can be a double or triple threat, that will make them more attractive to producers. They point out Kim and Bree from Cycle 5 as an example.
After the girls have all given it a shot, they meet Ann Shoket, the editor-in-chief of Seventeen, who reveals that they will now be testing their skills by interviewing a real-life celebrity - Jessica Lowndes from 90210.
Laura is worried about reading the teleprompter because of her dyslexia, but the producers of the show have other ideas. Each model soon discovers that the teleprompter is switched off halfway through the interview and they must cope on their own.
Jennifer and Erin are praised for being unflappable, while Sundai is confident but interrupts Jessica. Laura initially blanks out and curses but soon manages to take control. Less successful are Brittany, Nicole and Rae. The producers reckon Brittany is not listening and concentrating more on her questions, Rae is branded unmemorable and Nicole is criticised for being nervous and asking inappropriate questions.
Erin is named the winner of the challenge and she is asked to pick two models to share her prize. She chooses Jennifer and Rae to join her on a beauty shoot for Seventeen.
Laura panics because of her dyslexia, while Erin announces that she has quickly finished, much to the anger of Nicole who calls her inconsiderate.
At the Cover Girl filming the next day, they meet Teyana, the winner of the previous cycle, who gives them advice about handling the demands of the commercial. Mr Jay says that he is going to look over their scripts and that the commercial will be overseen by Nigel.
Nigel is impressed by Nicole (started weak, but pulled through), Jennifer (naturally charming) and Laura (fantastic at bringing personality to shoot). He is less happy with Sundai (very disappointing), Brittany (boring), Rae (can't show personality) and Erin, who gets so upset by the pressure that she needs to have her make-up reapplied four times.
At the judging, Tyra is joined by Nigel, Miss J and Kim Kardashian. They praise Jennifer for being "natural, relatable and adorable", while they appreciate how Laura personalized her script and her struggle with dyslexia. Nigel says that Nicole started weak but was easy to direct and smyizing, which Tyra is impressed by.
Brittany gets mixed reviews, with the judges appreciating that she was professional and knew her lines but lamenting her lack of sparkle. Likewise, they recognise Rae's beauty but wonder if she is missing the "wow factor". Sundai is compared to a saleswoman, with Kim suggesting that she was "awkward" to watch, while the panel express their disappointment in Erin for her behaviour on set.
Tyra explains that Rae's biggest weakness is not standing out from the crowd, while Erin takes some of the strongest pictures but needs to learn to hold herself together. Tyra adds that they have never had a contestant cry as much as Erin did in the history of the show. In the end, Rae is eliminated.
"It's the end of the Top Model journey for me," she says. "I haven't really allowed myself to think about it but I can't wait to see my daughter. I miss her so much. Now I have this taste for what modelling can really be all about, I have even more of a passion for it and I'm ready to go out there and work to achieve this dream."
