The girls arrive in Marrakech and take a trip through the local market where they encounter the Jays, who reveal the girls will be treated to a traditional Moroccan lunch and fashion tour of the city. Over lunch, Brittani says that she's from a less fortunate family so Top Model is her only chance to succeed in the industry; Hannah doesn't want to fade into the background; and Kasia says that the other girls don't see her as competition because she is plus-size.
They later meet Andre at a villa to demonstrate their walk while dressed in various high-fashion creations. Unfortunately for Kasia, her self-confidence is dented when she can't fit into many of the assembled dresses. "They literally went through the whole store to try to fit a dress on me which is kind of embarrassing," she says tearfully. "But I put myself out there to be scrutinised. I know that. But it still hurts; it chips away at my confidence a little."
Andre, however, is impressed that Kasia is the only model who thought to bring heels with her. He also thinks Brittani has the walk that is closest to high-fashion prompting her to say she can "feel the hate" emanating from Alexandria's direction after his praise.
The girls arrive in the Marrakech desert the next day ("It smells like animals and hay," says Brittani. "Home sweet home.") where Mr Jay greets them on a camel. They'll be posing on the animals for photographer Michael Woolley while styled in "traditional costume and European sophistication".
Jay thinks Brittani has "got her mojo back" after a solid performance, while Molly "nails her shot from the get-go". Kasia is less fortunate, struggling to pose on the camel and becoming self-conscious about her body. The photographer says that he felt "out of control" shooting her, describing the experience as "painful". Alexandria also gets mixed reviews. Jay thinks she's too "controlled and contrived", while the photographer thinks she is overdirecting herself. Molly wraps the session with a good performance which delivers the romantic, nomadic atmosphere the photographer wanted.
Tyra, Nigel and Andre are joined by Franca Sozzani, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia, for the panel.
Nigel thinks it's very "androgynous" with a Lawrence of Arabia feeling. Franca doesn't think it's natural enough. Andre compares it to a 1960s Vogue shoot, calling it dramatic and high-fashion. Tyra loves that she takes risks and thinks it could be an ad campaign.
Nigel loves the upper body but not the gap between her legs, while Andre thinks all the girls need to work on relaxing the tension in their mouths and faces. Franca likes it except for the stiff arm placement. Tyra says that her film was inconsistent and the photographer felt like Alexandria was talking back and instructing him, although she disagrees.
Nigel likes it but would like to see more life and a softer look in her eyes. Tyra says she appeared self-conscious and tense in most of her film, saying she let her head control her body and she has to push her inner critic aside. Both Franca and Andre think the shot lacks energy and can't feel the nomadic narrative of the theme.
Franca likes her natural body and face, while Andre praises the fact he can see the clothes she is selling. "This is amazing. It's anchored but still fly away." Tyra says that she looks like a model caught up in the moment although the judges know she is very aware of what is happening around her.
Nigel loves that the current feel of the picture is different to what the other girls produced, while Andre thinks the sole weakness is her hand placement behind her head, although it doesn't distract from the overall shot. Franca isn't sure about the facial expression, while Tyra says the entire film was amazing and Hannah was constantly creating momentum and trying new things.
Tyra tells Alexandria that her pictures are stronger and more consistent than Kasia's but warns her that she has some work to do. She then tells Kasia that consistency is more important than being the best.
"I knew I'd be in the bottom two but I didn't think I'd be the one going home," says Kasia. "I got to the Top 5 which is a huge accomplishment but I know I can do better and that's what's killing me. It's not over. It's just a bump in the road for me."
