There's tension right from the beginning of this episode - Alisha jokes that she's fed up that the American girls are always winning and quips that she won't speak until she wins first call out! But the real problems come while the models play around with Laura's teddy bear... which has sentimental value for her as it was given to her by her late friend.
When an ear gets torn off and thrown in the pool, Laura's horrified (though Sophie seems to suggest that none of the women knew what the bear meant to her.) And when Kyle seems to push the ear further into the pool, she gets even angrier: "As far as I'm concerned she's dead to me." Kyle seems to take the drama in her stride, though - "Laura's a complete psycho," she says.
But it's time to get down to business... All-Stars winner Lisa D'Amato arrives at the house to deliver the new challenge! Annaliese is a bit nervous about what could be coming up - "She's known for being absolutely wild," she points out. But Lisa reveals that they'll be splitting into teams - UK vs US - to make music videos!
There are some starry mentors, too - Girls Aloud's Nadine Coyle will help out the Brits, while Pussycat Dolls star Jessica Sutta will be on hand to help out the Americans. The models soon get listening to the songs they will be performing and receive advice from their mentors, though Azmarie says that while she has some experience with music and has written songs before, she isn't sure about being in a band.
The Recording Studio
After learning their lines, the models meet Lisa and CBS music producer Tom Polce in the studio to lay down their vocals! First things first - what are their group names? The Brits choose "Fiercely British" ("I was going for something like Sophie And The Others," Sophie jokes) while the Americans pick United Sirens of America.
The British models are the first to record their vocals, and though Sophie is "so far out of [her] comfort zone" they all do well. Tom seems to really like Alisha, asking her to record again: "We don't really need it, I just like listening to you doing it." "Team UK is like kicking ass," Eboni worries.
Then the US team take to the mic! Laura doesn't seem impressed with Kyle ("oh my God, girl, shut the f**k up," she moans) but then she is in that feud with her. Elsewhere, Alisha jokes that Laura "sounded like she was having an orgasm" when she was singing, while Tom warns Eboni that she sounds like a robot. Azmarie is last to record and explains that she has her "own little vibe". Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to impress the others - Annaliese says Azmarie puts on a "funny voice" when she sings and suggests she isn't taking it seriously.
When everyone's done, Lisa delivers her verdict - she thinks the UK team is a point ahead at this moment! But Azmarie still thinks the Americans are doing "very well" overall. Will they manage to beat the Brits?
Tyra's Teach Tooch
The models arrive at a dance studio and meet Tyra Banks! She reveals that she's going to teach them the art of the "booty tooch", and hands out booty pads. But Azmarie is not impressed, and asks: "Are you serious?" In fact, she ends up refusing to wear the padding! Tyra explains that if she doesn't put her "training tooch" on, she'll have to leave... so Azmarie does.
Sophie's not happy and in confessional says: "You're putting down all of us girls and you're putting down Tyra." But Azmarie explains that she is a "grown ass woman" and doesn't "have time for that s**t".
With Azmarie out of the room, Tyra teaches the models what not to do tooch-wise (such as the "hoochie tooch" and the "smoochie tooch"), before teaching them the good kind of tooches. In confessional, Sophie says "tooch" so many times in one sentence it could make your head spin. Meanwhile, Alisha thinks Azmarie "missed out big time", pointing out that she won't know what to do in the music video now.
Azmarie might actually be regretting her decision - to make it up to her team, she works hard on developing their choreography for the music video. "I'm feeling really nervous for her," Eboni admits.
Shooting the music video
So the models have their vocals and choreography sorted - now they just have to put it together and shoot their music video! Jessica and Nadine are back to help out, too.
The British models are first to shoot their scenes - Annaliese impresses Nadine with her "energy", Sophie reveals that though she's not a music video star she's had fun, Jay's impressed by Catherine's "shining magic moment", and Alisha says being in the competition "means the world" to her. And when they get together to film their group shots, Laura is surprised to see how much energy they have: "They've set the bar - we've got to go above that."
Catherine admits that she wants the American models to mess up their video - will they? Well, Alisha suggests that they'll find it tough thanks to the Laura-Kyle feud and sure enough, they're struggling a little with their choreography. Kyle in particular is having a difficult time getting it right and ends up hiding out in the restroom until Azmarie comes to give her a motivational speech and cheer her up.
Jessica thinks Seymone is doing a great job, but Jay warns that though Azmarie is talented, she needs to work on her ego: "In the world of fashion, your attitude will spread like a brushfire and then no-one will touch you, no matter how great you are." He's more impressed with Laura, and says she steals the attention even when she's in the background.
But who'll be going home? Kyle thinks it'll be her because of her struggles with the music video, while Azmarie admits that waiting to find out is "nervewracking". Annaliese and Sophie, meanwhile, think it will be a "sham" if the British models don't win the challenge with their video. "If we lose, you are going to see some p*ssed off English folks, seriously," Annaliese warns.
Who's Going Home?
Jessica and Nadine join Tyra, Kelly Cutrone and Nigel Barker as this week's guest judges, but who'll be going home? First up is the American models' music video, then it's time for their individual evaluations...
Nigel says she "owned" it - "It was a little bitchy, a little off." Jessica agrees that she did a great job, praising the way the light hit her face. But Tyra thinks the song was like a cartoon and Seymone should have exaggerated things a little more. "You brought the cartoon, but not enough," she says. "But you were so, so close."
Tyra jokes that Laura would be the "crazy" member of a girl group, while Nigel suggests that she didn't get the balance of crazy/pretty right. But Kelly loved it: "It was kind of nasty, dirty punk."
Nigel doesn't think Azmarie brought enough commitment, even in the beginning of the video - "You caught me in the wrong way." Kelly isn't sure about Azmarie's vocals, while Tyra unsurprisingly brings up Azmarie's refusal to do the tooch teach. Azmarie admits that she has been thinking about her refusal and apologises, saying that she can see it was disrespectful. Tyra accepts her apology but suggests that Azmarie just had a mood in the moment, as opposed to standing for something.
The judges are pleased to see Eboni wearing her hair up, but as for her video, Nigel suggests that she committed too much. And Tyra warns that she was "smoochie tooching". Kelly doesn't like the way she grabbed her ponytails, but there's better news from Jessica, who says Eboni reminds her of Pussycat Doll star Melody.
Nigel suggests that Kyle was too self-conscious and should have chilled out a bit more, while Nadine suggests that her eyes were a little disconnected - she didn't give 100%. Jessica likes Kyle's use of a whip and Tyra agrees, but thinks Kyle should have pushed more.
But will the British models do any better? After seeing the video, the judges cheer and clap: "That was insane!" Tyra says, while Nigel says he's "proud". Then it's time for the individual evaluations...
Tyra praises Catherine for using what she learned in the tooch teach, while Kelly says she came to life in the video, combining being nasty, cool and sexy. "It's a nice performance from you," she concludes.
Nadine calls Sophie a "blonde bombshell" and says she worked from head to toe, while Kelly names Sophie's performence her favourite of the day. Tyra adds that she can tell Sophie isn't a strong dancer, but it doesn't matter because she's giving it so much commitment.
Nigel likes her model-style squint and her "totally professional" dance moves, while Jessica says that she saw Alisha giving 100% in every single shot. Tyra agrees that Alisha milked every single moment.
Jessica says Annaliese is "adorable" and has a "sweetness", while Kelly says for the first time Annaliese's movement came into sync for her. Tyra jokes that Annaliese would be the member of a girl group parents are happy for their kids to look up to.
After the judges deliberate (and, referring to Azmarie, Kelly says: "She's a boaster, she's a coaster, I think it's time to toast her"), the models are called back in to discover their fate. Tyra reveals that the British girls won the challenge... and Alisha's won first callout!
She's followed by Sophie, Catherine and Annaliese, leaving just American models. Seymone, Laura and Eboni are the next to be called, leaving Kyle and Azmarie in the bottom two. But who'll be saying goodbye?
Tyra says that Azmarie takes amazing photographs, but the judges are seeing someone that "still feels a little kinda too cool for school". Meanwhile, she says that Kyle lacks an "oomph". But who's going to stay? It's... Kyle! Yes, we're going to be saying goodbye to Azmarie!
Tyra admits that she thought Azmarie could win the competition because she has "that extra special something" but adds that she needs to co-operate with people in the business. Azmarie thanks her, and later says she feels "great" about her time in the competition, adding that she thinks people have seen what she's all about.
"Tyra found me in the midst of my journey and allowed me a platform to continue growing and for the world to see me," she says. "So that is definitely something I'm very thankful for."
