The 19th cycle, which will premiere next month, will feature college students exclusively and will include audience participation for the first time.
"We're calling it 'Fierce Friday Foursome', meaning me, Kelly Cutrone, Rob Evans and the fourth judge is the home audience, which we've never done before," Banks told Access Hollywood.
Banks also described Cutrone as "absolutely fantastic" and "almost the star of that judging row", saying: "We have a photo shoot with shoes and the girl is modelling her ass off with those feet and so Kelly combines shoes and smize in a way, I was like, 'Damn! I usually come up with the new words!' But she invented a new word."
Elsewhere, Banks revealed that Evans is "very difficult to look at for longer than three seconds at a time", adding: "It's intimidating, but then you get to know him and he becomes family and very warm."
Banks also wished departing judge Nigel Barker luck in his new role on Oxygen's upcoming series The Face.
"I'm happy for Nigel," she said. "He's amazing and he built Top Model with us so I can only wish him success."
America's Next Top Model will premiere on August 24 on The CW.
