There's no time to waste in the Big Brother USA house. Shortly after evicting Wil, the housemates headed to the garden to start on this week's Head of Household task.

But it wasn't all straightforward this time around - they could be tempted by a "safe ticket", keeping them from being nominated this week, or a $10,000 cash prize. But who will take the win and who will go for the easy route? Stay with Digital Spy from 8/7c to find out!

20:57Who will win the Power of Veto and will it be Frank or Boogie? If so, who will Shane nominate in their place? Join us on Wednesday at 8/7c to find out!

20:57Britney is pleased with the nominations but thinks it'll be a "bumpy ride" this week. Frank's heart says he's broken as he tries to build trust with the alliance but now it doesn't feel good that he or his closest ally could go home. That's so ridiculous. Ian finds it all exciting, anyway - the game likes big moves and Frank and Boogie didn't see it coming (nor did they think he was part of it).

20:56Well, good on you, Shane - he's nominated Boogie and Frank. They'll have a chance to go for PoV and Boogie is all too amused as he realises that the Silent Six is "a wrap". Well, yeah, it sort of was when you considered putting Dan up, since he's part of that.

20:52Shane needs to make a decision here, so let's get to it. It's about time for the nominations ceremony, but is he going to step up to the plate or waste his entire week as HoH?

20:47Shane is beginning to question whether or not this new change could affect his nominations. He's thinking it may be better for him to go for floaters this week, and if he does, he's an absolute idiot. I'm just going to say that now.

20:46Inside, Frank, Joe and Boogie find balls in the hallway leading to an arcade-type machine with even more balls inside along with a clear box with a question mark on it. Uh oh, it's a Big Brother twist! (Pretend to be excited, okay?) The rest of the house is soon made aware of this, and Ian thinks Pandora's box is back and he's going to sweat it out. Britney immediately runs upstairs and talks to Shane to make sure his head is still on straight with the nominations they talked about before.

20:44In the garden, Boogie, Dan and Ian are playing pool and speculating on Big Brother hosting a "Good vs. Evil" season. Ian claims that he'd be on the "evil" team as he's "not a good person in any way, shape or form", but Boogie thinks he's one of the most innocent people ever.

20:43Shane brings Joe up into the HoH room to talk about the votes this week. Joe is overjoyed about the big move Shane wants to make in the house, dubbing it the "best news [he's] heard in several weeks" and claiming that he'd go out of the game for Shane, since he believes Shane can win it. Shane now knows he's got the votes he needs to get either Shane or Boogie out, so it seems pretty clear-cut what should happen here.

20:41Ian gets to work making a pizza for their little date and they meet at the dining room table to eat it. It's real romantic, with all the other housemates around and zero conversation happening between the two of them. Ashley seems thoroughly bored, and all they talk about is how full they are and what they ate earlier in the day. Hahaha, it's terribly awkward. Ashley even asks him if he has gone to the bathroom today and says he'll have to after this meal. He responds with saying that he's going to wait until "it's easier". Ashley has realised that they're just really good friends and thinks it's mutual, but Ian thinks the date went "okay" and hopes Frank leaves on Thursday. Ha!

20:38Oh boy - in preparing Ian for his date, Britney and Danielle are doing some "manscaping" with some Nair that Shane has. Ashley sits around for the process, which sort of defeats the purpose, but whatever. Donning some dishwashing gloves, Britney gets to work. Ashley compares him to a "baby gorilla" - sounds like a recipe for romance.

20:37Later that afternoon, Ian asks Ashley on a "date" for that evening, and she agrees. Of course, he has no idea that she was making out with Frank the other day in the HoH room, but he wants to step up his game so that no-one interferes with his "flirtmance".

20:36There's some downtime in the Big Brother house, and Joe is telling stories about his life at home to Britney and Boogie in the garden. Boogie is, of course, completely bored by this but listens anyway. Apparently he's a teller of tall tales, and likes to tell stories that in no way could be real, so we get a nice little montage of him telling his tales - which includes him claiming that he named "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter". Who makes up a story like that? Hilarious!

20:31Ian thinks the only chance they have to win the game is to put both Frank and Boogie on the block, and Danielle agrees. Dan agrees that now's the time to make a move in the game, and Shane thinks that as long as his alliance has his back, it may be in the cards. He had wanted to stay true to the Silent Six, but considering Frank and Boogie's latest hijinks, it's time for him to break free and stick with the Quack Pack.

20:29Shane and Boogie are talking downstairs, where Boogie questions him who he'd put up. He suggests Britney, but she nixes it, though he then agrees to Shane. Ian immediately relays this conversation to Britney, who doesn't understand why Boogie is suddenly coming after her. Britney then heads upstairs with Ian to tell Shane, Danielle and Dan about the conversation. Britney suggests that both Boogie and Frank need to go on the block, though he's hesitant that a lot of blood will be on his hands if one of them gets HoH next week.

20:27It's time to see Shane's HoH room (God, this is a boring episode!) and there's the usual display - pictures of his dog and his family, along with a letter from home. His sister has written how much she misses him and how proud she is of his time in the house. The only person who isn't upstairs is Jenn, who is trying to rest downstairs. However, she soon realises that she needs to go upstairs and "show respect".

20:25Shane's win is a victory for the Quack Pack alliance, and Britney wants Shane to rethink the whole Silent Six thing since it's clear that Frank and Boogie were considering putting Dan on the block last week.

20:20This contest is STILL going on. It's 20 minutes into the episode and yes, we're still watching these two (Dan and Shane, who are the closest to winning) run back and forth trying to fill up their bowl. Finally, however, it's Shane who takes it. The suspense was killing you, wasn't it?

20:13Boogie manages to win the $10,000 and I'm seriously hoping he's up on the block this week.

20:11Britney manages to win safety, meaning no-one else in the house can do so. Uh oh!

20:10Danielle's going for HoH but keeps falling on the slippery surface. Ian also goes down nonstop and is not having an easy time of it. Ashley resorts to crawling as slow as molasses. Shane's chances of HoH are quite high considering only Ian and Danielle are competing with him for it and he's making the most progress.

20:07Joe goes for safety, and Boogie goes for the money, which Frank isn't too happy about as it risks his own game. Dan's going for safety so that he doesn't have to choose between the two alliances, while Ashley is also choosing to go for safety. What a bunch of wimps!

20:03When we last left the housemates, they were slipping and sliding around the garden trying to fill bowls of coloured liquid to win the HoH competition. But who did win it? I actually know the answer to this question because the internet exists, not because I care. But let's follow along with the "action", shall we?
