Ousted 'Runway' contestant 'tears up'

Ousted Project Runway contestant Nicolas Putvinski has admitted that he teared up watching his final episode.

The designer was forced to depart the show last week when presenter Heidi Klum said that his locale-inspired creation "missed the mark".

He told TV Guide that he was "nervous" and "emotional" when viewing the episode.

Putvinski said: "I was kind of a little nervous about this one, because it's like, 'OK, it's my last one'. But I actually got a little emotional, because I got over it a long time ago, but especially that scene when we were all sitting around the apartment at the end of the night before runway day."

He added: "We were all hanging out having a glass of wine, and just like all talking and no-one's being bitchy. We were just being ourselves. It was so much fun, even though sometimes you hear people say crap about each other in interviews - we were all pretty good friends. So that scene kind of teared me up a little bit."

Project Runway airs Thursdays at 10pm on Lifetime.
