The reality show, which also features Tamra Barney, Lynne Curtin, Vicki Gunvalson and newcomer Alexis Bellino, was the first instalment in the Bravo series and is entering into its fifth season.
Rossi told TV Guide that Orange County remains a "favourite" among viewers, more so than the subsequent incarnations set in New York City, Atlanta and New Jersey.
She stated: "We are the original housewives, and ultimately people's hearts are within the storylines of the people they've seen forever. Each of us women on the show has a little bit more sophistication and class than maybe some of the other projects."
Bravo previously announced that it will set a fifth instalment in Washington, DC.
The fifth season of The Real Housewives of Orange County debuts tonight at 10pm.
