The 47-year-old claimed that she debated returning for the fifth season of the Bravo series, which had its premiere last week, as she felt it was having an adverse impact on her insurance business.
"I almost lost a very large client of mine - a $2m (£1.1m) client - because he Googled me and said he didn't like what he was seeing on the TV show," she told the Daily Beast.
She added: "I never tell my clients I'm on the show, and I hope they don't watch it, truthfully. They're over 65. They don't understand this."
Co-star Jeana Keough previously revealed that she felt unappreciated by her castmates and left the programme over a salary dispute.
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Thursdays at 10pm on Bravo.
