The 33-year-old spoke about the death of ex-fiancé Ashley Jewell on part one of the episodes.
She told CNN that producers expected events to have more drama attached to them, especially between co-stars NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak, who had a major falling out towards the show's end.
She said: "[The producers] were really kind of upset because they felt that even though nobody wanted to be dramafied, at least you can answer the questions honestly. You don't have to be overly negative to answer a question.
"You can't just go from being over the top to being a nun."
Burruss is reportedly in negotiations to return for another season of the Bravo series.
