Burruss mum upset by 'Housewives' depiction

Kandi Burruss has admitted that her mother was upset with her portrayal on Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The 33-year-old's mum Joyce was shown during many scenes of the series vocalising her disapproval over her daughter's engagement to Ashley Jewell, who died shortly after the Bravo show stopped filming.

However, she and the 34-year-old reached an understanding about the relationship on a recent episode.

"My mum didn't like the fact that a lot of people blamed her for the break-up," Burruss told CNN.

"She felt like there was a lot of things that people didn't get to see or maybe didn't know about our relationship that may have contributed to the break-up."

Kandi prevoiusly said that producers of The Real Housewives of Atlanta were unhappy with the lack of drama in the show's two-part reunion specials.
