The sixth season of the scripted reality show will premiere on MTV next Tuesday, with Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari replacing departed show narrator Lauren Conrad.
Speaking to MTV News, he said: "I am so ecstatic. Everyone knows [Kristin] just outshines... [She is] one of the most entertaining people to be put behind a camera lens."
"I'm more of a team player than people. Everybody else likes to be self-centre players. I like when there's a team - it makes me want to watch it. I already set my TiVo."
The network's Liz Gately has already promised that Cavallari will "mix things up" in the show and hinted that her presence would affect the relationship between Audrina Patridge and Justin Bobby.
The sixth season of The Hills begins at 10pm ET on September 29 on MTV.
