11.5m tune in for 'Survivor' premiere

The opening episode of the 19th series of the reality show was seen by a respectable 11.5m during the 8pm hour. Its nearest rival, the season premiere of Fox's Bones, put in 10.1m.
Also at 8pm, the second episode of Vampire Diaries had 3.8m, a drop of around 1m on last week's performance. A rerun of Grey's Anatomy logged 4.31m for ABC, while NBC's Parks & Recreation season premiere interested 5m between 8.30pm and 9pm.
A CSI rerun won the 9pm hour, putting in 8.8m for CBS. Over on NBC, the return of The Office was seen by 8.1m between 8pm and 8.30pm, then 7.68m tuned in for the series premiere of Community between 8.30pm and 9pm.
The season two premiere of Fringe managed 7.98m for Fox, 2.8m watched Supernatural on The CW and a second Grey's Anatomy rerun had 5.55m for ABC.
At 10pm, 8.52m chose The Jay Leno Show on NBC, and reruns of CBS's The Mentalist and ABC's Private Practice drew 8.75m and 3.43m respectively.
