'Survivor' Tom: 'Rupert is self-unaware'

Tom Westman has revealed that Rupert Boneham is nothing like how he's portrayed on television.

The latest Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains castoff spoke to DS about how annoying he found his fellow contestant to be.

"Rupert is the most self-unaware person I've ever encountered. He's annoying beyond belief and just has no idea that he is. I think he's just kind of clueless."

Westman also accused the fan favourite of playing to the cameras and of caricaturing himself.

"[He's] hamming it up for the face-time and playing the role of 'Rupert from Survivor'. It's just embarrassing. He'd stay up all not long burning all the wood that had been collected through the day."

The former tribemate also admitted it was hard to get sleep with Rupert around.

"It's the middle of the night, we're all barely getting any sleep, and then when everyone starts sleeping, he decides to start splitting wood three feet from your head."
