It was recently announced that the 37-year-old will return to the ABC romance reality show for a second time next year after previously fronting the 11th season in 2007.
His time on the show ended with him deciding not to choose either finalist Jenni Croft or DeAnna Pappas in the season finale.
Speaking to Us Weekly, 26-year-old Fedotowsky - who chose Roberto Martinez as her winner - admitted that she had been hoping for a man from her season to be named the next Bachelor so that she would have a "personal connection" to the show, but said that she will be watching Womack when he takes on the job.
She continued to say that she understood how Womack must have felt about the public reaction to his decision on the 2007 show, comparing it to her own experience earlier this year when it was rumoured that she did not choose anybody on The Bachelorette.
"I know what kind of media backlash that can have. When people thought I didn't pick anybody, everyone was so angry with me," she told the magazine. "I remember thinking, 'What if I didn't find anyone? What if Roberto wasn't here?' So I respect that.
"Bless his heart for actually wanting to do this a second time, because it's hard! If I had to do it all over again... to find Roberto? Yes. But would I want to? Probably not. It's hard, so good luck buddy!"
Womack was named the next Bachelor on last week's Dancing With The Stars. He later said that he had undergone therapy since his time on the show in order to overcome his commitment issues and was taking his return "very seriously" and feels ready to find love.
The Bachelor returns to ABC in January 2011.
