Maynard confirmed the separation to the new issue of People magazine, revealing that she and Texas-based bar owner Womack have ended their engagement.
Womack proposed to mother-of-one Maynard on the finale of The Bachelor's last season in South Africa, choosing her over runner-up Chantal O'Brien.
However, the couple revealed on After The Final Rose that they briefly broke up following the proposal because of the "trials and tribulations" that normal couples go through, before patching up their differences.
Rumours that Womack and Maynard had split again emerged later that year, with Maynard's mum telling People in April that the couple had an "on off" relationship.
Maynard has now confirmed the break-up, telling the magazine, which hits newsstands Friday, that she is no longer with Womack although the couple "love each other". Womack added that the failure of their relationship was "completely [his] fault".
Maynard recently taped an interview with Bachelor host Chris Harrison about the state of current relationship with Womack, which will air on the Monday, July 11 episode of The Bachelorette.
Harrison wrote on Twitter: "I Did sit down & talk to Emily about her relationship w Brad. You will see it 7/11... Your going to hear & see a lot about Brad & Em between now & then. Most of it will be tabloid garbage (sic)."
The host added in an interview with TV Guide that Maynard and Womack "very much love each other and very much care about each other", promising that will come through in the discussion with Maynard.
"I talk to Brad all the time so I sit down [with Emily] and say, 'This sucks doing this interview with one person and we're talking about a friend'," he told the website. "As far as interviews go, even including Jason/Molly/Melissa this was the most awkward and uncomfortable because Brad wasn't there."
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
