The 28-year-old was first rumoured to be starring on the upcoming season of the ABC series in late August. Now, the network has confirmed that Flajnik will take centre stage on the show when it returns in January 2012.
He will make his first public appearance as The Bachelor on the season finale of Bachelor Pad, which airs September 12 on ABC.
Flajnik first appeared on the most recent season of The Bachelorette opposite Ashley Hebert. However, Hebert ultimately chose to accept JP Rosenbaum's proposal in the season finale of the series.
"Every second I spend with you makes me fall deeper in love with you. I want to thank you for allowing me to feel completely and utterly vulnerable and open with you," Flajnik said in his proposal to Hebert.
Despite being rejected on The Bachelorette, Flajnik is said to hold out hope that he will find love on the new series of The Bachelor.
In mid-August, the 28-year-old was spotted on a date with Jennifer Love Hewitt, though the Ghost Whisperer star denied reports of a romance between the two celebrities.
