Lindzi - Ocala, Florida
Lindzi's up first and she's only ever brought one guy home to meet her family. Unfortunately, he ended up breaking her heart. Here's hoping that Ben doesn't do the same.
She greets Ben on horseback, and we soon find out that Ben's going to have to like horses if he sees a future with her - she learned to ride before she could even walk. He gets a bit of practice leading Lindzi to their picnic stop in a horse and carriage, where his declaration that Lindzi's walls are starting to come down encourages her to speak out about her past relationship. She dated someone for two years, they lived together, he met her family, and she thought they'd get married before it all fell apart.
Moving on, Lindzi's dad immediately offers winemaker Ben a glass of chilled Chardonnay (good move!) as the couple recount their Bachelor journey so far. Turns out her parents got married in San Francisco's City Hall where Ben and Lindzi had their first date!
No time to reminisce though, because it's time for a Cox Family Tradition - horse and carriage racing through the grounds, with extra points for trash talking! Sadly for Lindzi and Ben, they end up losing, and the punishment is losing the horses and hauling her parents in their carriage back to the house.
Before dinner, Lindzi's mum has a chat with Ben. She says Lindzi was kept away from boys as a kid and told to focus on extra-curricular activities so doesn't have a lot of experience with dating. She's also, as we know, been recently heartbroken. Does Lindzi's mum think she's ready for an engagement? Yes. She's grown up a lot.
But, will Lindzi's dad agree to a proposal? Ben says he's not ready to propose but down the line he'd want her father's permission. Her dad says Lindzi is their only daughter and they want her to be happy and he hopes they can continue to work on their relationship because Ben is a "nice young man".
Leaving, our bachelor reflects that "humble, grounded" Lindzi would fit into his life well and he never expected to grow so much closer to her in just one day. "I think that I might be falling in love with Lindzi," he adds. "I wouldn't change anything about today. It was wonderful."
Kacie B - Clarksville, Tennessee
Next up is Kacie B who makes an impression by greeting Ben by leading a marching band. They're meeting on a football field named after her grandfather, which is pretty appropriate because his relationship with her grandmother that has inspired her.
Ben's a bit nervous about meeting Kacie's family - particularly when she reveals her dad is teetotal. "I'm a winemaker and my business is booze," says Ben. "So strike one." Her dad is apparently quite skeptical about the whole Bachelor process and doesn't like taking risks, but as Kacie tells her sister, she's tired of always doing what other people want her to do and she's doing what she wants. She even introduces Ben as her "future husband", adding: "I'm dead serious."
In the other room, Kacie's dad is giving Ben a talk on marriage. He thinks it's a serious commitment and they shouldn't rush into anything. Ben agrees, but says that he has strong feelings for Kacie - however, he also has those feelings for the other girls. Her dad warns him that if Kacie isn't the one then he should tell her soon so she doesn't get more hurt. Meanwhile, her mum is concerned about her moving across country to be with Ben, particularly if they move in together before they get married.
Kacie ends the night by talking to her dad. He thinks she and Ben need to date more and develop their relationship. She's ready to accept a proposal but her dad says he probably wouldn't give his blessing to one right now.
Kacie's left feeling frustrated: "Today was supposed to make my relationship with Ben a lot stronger and right now I feel it's doing the complete opposite."
Nicki - Fort Worth, Texas
Ben begins his visit to Texas by getting kitted out in a cowboy hat and boots, courtesy of Nicki. She tells him her dad wasn't so keen on the whole Bachelor idea because she's been hurt before, which leads her to open up about her divorce. She hung in there because she believed there was a future and hates people thinking she gave up when she put everything she had into the relationship for two years.
Nicki's mum can see a strong connection between the couple but she's concerned about her daughter getting hurt. In a private conversation Nicki admits to her mum that she is falling in love with Ben.
Her dad, meanwhile, appears to be feeling guilty that he gave his blessing to her previous marriage too quickly because he had complete faith in her judgement. After the relationship ended he realised there were questions he could have asked and he doesn't want to let her down again. Nicki says that she should have seen the red flags herself and she was young and leapt in without being ready.
In a sweet toast over dinner, her dad says that he will give the couple his blessing. Nicki later tells Ben that she's thrilled her parents like him as much as she does, and the whole day has made her realise that she is in love with him.
Courtney Robertson - Scottsdale, Arizona
Ben's final hometown date is with Courtney, who tells us she's beginning to regret how she acted with the other women now she's had time to reflect.
Over lunch with her parents and sister, she reveals just how much she likes Ben, although her mother privately says she'd be "very surprised" if Courtney is in love; Ben is a "nice guy" but Courtney shouldn't just assume she's in love and it will last forever.
Later, Courtney's dad tells Ben that marriage is one of life's greatest gambles and there is only a 50% chance of winning. Is Ben ready? He's definitely ready for a serious relationship and Courtney's dad seems happy to welcome him to the family. "I'd love to have a son-in-law finally after all these years - and I want some grandkids!"
Inside, Courtney (who tells her sister that the skinny dipping incident was the moment she fell for Ben) is telling her mum that the journey has been stressful but Ben is worth it. If he proposes then she is ready to say yes. Her mum thinks they are well suited in personalities and all that matters is that Courtney is happy.
Courtney and Ben later steal some alone time at a garden where Courtney shot her first modelling job at 17. She tells Ben it is used for weddings... and, look at that, it just so happens the garden is set up for a wedding right now!
She decides they should write wedding vows to each other to express their true feelings. She's even brought a bowtie for Ben, some rings, and asked someone to officiate! It's all strictly pretend, though.
The fake wedding gives both Ben and Courtney the chance to truly reveal how they feel about each other through their vows. The gist is they are both ready for the next step and could see themselves together for many years.
So, with the hometown dates all complete, which lady will be going home, cruelly after just introducing her family to the mix?
The first rose goes to Courtney, followed by Lindzi and Nicki, meaning a tearful Kacie B is going home.
As Ben walks her out, she says: "I knew there was a chance I could be broken-hearted and I was scared of it - and I am."
She breaks down in the limo: "I thought I knew what he was looking for but I guess I was completely wrong.
"Why am I not good enough? I don't get it. I loved him and I don't know what to do now. How did this happen? What the f**k happened?"
