Ben's feeling confused too - he's "head over heels in love" with both of them, but has doubts about both too. He's worried that he hasn't had enough time with Lindzi, while with Courtney he's concerned about her problems with the other women.
To help him, Ben's mum Barbara and sister Julia have arrived in Switzerland to meet both the women. He tells them about both Lindzi and Courtney, but as soon as Julia hears that Courtney's had problems with the other girls, she says it's a "red flag", and when she hears Courtney's a model she's even more worried.
Lindzi meets Ben's family
Lindzi is first to meet Barbara and Julia, but she's so nervous that she keeps dropping her fork at lunch. Still, she impresses Barbara when she speaks about being in love with Ben, adding that she wants to start letting down her walls and being more vulnerable around him. And Julia likes her too after she talks about how much she's changed (Julia also uses the opportunity to ask about Courtney's relationship with the other women, though Lindzi tactfully says they're "very different" people).
Afterwards, Barbara and Julia both tell Ben that they think Lindzi would fit in well to the family, while Barbara even calls her the "total package". Ben's thrilled that she got the stamp of approval, saying: "Lindzi could be my wife."
Courtney meets Ben's family
Julia's worried about Courtney before she's even met her because of the reports of her behaviour around the other girls and her work as a model, but Ben just wants his family to be open-minded - and adds that if they like Courtney, it will put some of his concerns to rest. But Courtney defends herself, saying she did try to get on with the girls but they didn't even give her a chance. Speaking to Julia, she even says that she has made some mistakes and behaved badly, but she is in love with Ben.
Afterwards, Julia admits that she was shocked by Courtney, describing her as a "really amazing girl". In fact, when Courtney has gone home, Julia says that she actually thinks Courtney is more of what Ben wants than Lindzi. Ben admits that there will be repercussions if he chooses Courtney, but Barbara puts his mind at rest by promising that she'll stand by his decision.
Lindzi's final date
For his final date with Lindzi, Ben takes her on a horse and carriage ride and then for her first ever skiing lesson. On the way up the mountain, their gondola stops, giving Lindzi a chance to tell Ben how she really feels about him. "I want to start a life with you," she says. Ben is thrilled that she's finally opened up a bit more and they have a great time skiing together.
That evening, Ben goes to see Lindzi and she begins to open up even more. She admits that she feels vulnerable and scared, but tells him that she loves him. "I want to be a great fiancée and wife for you," she says. "I'm ready for this next step." Ben again is thrilled that she's let her guard down and is only frustrated that he can't say that he loves her too. They end the night outside on the balcony kissing, as Lindzi tells Ben she loves him.
Courtney's final date
For his final date with Courtney, Ben takes her on a helicopter ride over the mountains before stopping for a picnic and fun in the snow. Courtney's pleased to hear that she won over Ben's family, but Ben is still conflicted as he is in love with both Courtney and Lindzi. "I always wanted to feel this comfortable about a woman," he says about Courtney.
That evening, Ben goes to see Courtney, who admits that she is feeling vulnerable. She hands him a gift - she's made a book of pictures of their dates. She's also written him a letter and reads that she feels like the "luckiest girl in the world" to have found him, adding that he is "the best thing that's ever happened" to her and making reference to "past, present, and future". She adds that she can't imagine her future without him.
But afterwards she begins to worry that Ben doesn't feel the same way, and there's tension as she admits that she's disappointed he brought up her relationships with the other women when speaking to Barbara and Julia. Ben defends himself, saying that he needs to explore every little thing, but Courtney says she's been completely honest and open with him. Afterwards, Courtney tearfully worries that she's losing Ben, while Ben admits that sometimes Courtney "frustrates" him and he doesn't always understand her.
Ben again says that he feels strongly about both Lindzi and Courtney, but he adds that he has made a decision: "I can't help but think of one. I can confidently say I know what I'm doing and I know that this decision is the right one. I want to propose - I know the woman I want to spend my life with." So as the women nervously get ready, Ben picks out an engagement ring, saying that it feels different from before with Ashley. "I'm happier than I've ever been," he says. But he admits that he is upset that first he will have to break someone's heart.
Lindzi is first to arrive for the ceremony and tells Ben that she is "excited" and "terrified", but she has fallen in love with him. Ben replies that he is what he's always wanted in a woman and he's falling love with her... but he needs "those moments to last a lifetime" and he is in love with someone else. He insists that this is the "hardest decision" he has ever made and apologises to Lindzi.
Lindzi says she is "mad" with herself because she couldn't give Ben what he needed, but jokes that he should call her if things don't work out. Afterwards, she says she would be "completely shocked" if Ben proposed to Courtney. "He would look like a total fool," she says. "I really thought this was someone I could settle down with, marry, start a life with, and it does hurt. I really want to go home now."
The moment has also had a big effect on Ben, who says it was "one of the worst feelings" he has ever had. He adds that it is strange proposing to one woman when he has also has feelings for another and says he is "confused" and "unsure" of how it will end now. Will he propose to Courtney?
Courtney arrives to see Ben, saying that she trusts him but is still scared in case she loses him. When Ben sees her, he admits that she has taken his breath away. He tells her that they've been through "ups and downs" but from their first date he felt like they were "on this same path and this wavelength". He adds: "It always seems like whenever I'm with you, we have these incredible moments. I thought to myself, 'I could see myself with this woman for the rest of my life', and I want you to know I think you're an incredible woman.
"But I promised myself that I wouldn't get down on one knee again unless I was certain it was forever. And I want to tell you that you are my forever. You are my forever, and I have waited a really, really long time to tell you that I'm in love with you." He adds: "This whole experience and journey has been worth it every step of the way."
Courtney is emotional, but when Ben gets down on one knee to ask her to marry him she replies: "Yes, of course I will. I love you so much... I will love you forever." The pair celebrate their engagement and Ben hands Courtney his final rose as she tells him that she will love him forever. "You're stuck with me," she jokes. "I'm OK with that, believe me," Ben replies.
