'The Bachelor' Chris Harrison 'upset by Emmy snub'

By
Chris Harrison has admitted that he is upset that The Bachelor and The Bachelorette were not nominated for any Primetime Emmy Awards.

Neither ABC reality shows were nominated for 'Outstanding Reality Series Competition' and Harrison himself was passed over in the 'Outstanding Reality Show Host' category.

Harrison responded to the perceived snub while speaking to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday (July 20).

"Ten years of Emmy snubs. I really wish the show would have gotten nominated," Harrison admitted.

The presenter went on to say: "The Emmys itself is really political. We've never made a push. It's unfortunate. While it doesn't help your show or career like the Oscars or Golden Globes, it's definitively an ego thing."

Harrison was also asked who he will root for in the 'Outstanding Reality Show Host' category, which pits Betty White against Tom Bergeron, Cat Deeley, Phil Keoghan and Ryan Seacrest.

"We've been on the air longer than any show that's been nominated. I'm voting for Betty White," he quipped.

The 2012 Primetime Emmys will be held on Sunday, September 23, at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. ABC will air the show live, with Jimmy Kimmel as host.
