The legal analyst was one of the original panelists when The View debuted in 1997, but she left the series amid controversy nearly a decade later when she announced to the press that her contract was not being renewed by ABC.
While appearing on her former co-star Joy Behar's HLN series, Jones insisted that she went to the press with her story because she felt the network was attempting to sabotage her career.
"For the week, two weeks, three weeks prior [to my announcement], the network was leaking out little stuff to the media," the Celebrity Apprentice contestant said. "Paparazzi [were] at my house and ringing my doorbell and contacting my neighbors. And it was really probably the most emotionally destroying time of my life. I honestly was not sure I could take it."
Despite the acrimony surrounding her exit, Jones also suggested that she misses the oft-heated discussions she frequently engaged in with Behar, Barbara Walters and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
The lawyer remarked: "I miss the discussion… I miss the 'hot topics' and arguing back and forth, but social media has really taken over and I've enjoyed some of that… And then sort of running around the country - that is allowing me to get my fix, if you will."
When asked by Behar if she would consider returning to the talkshow as a guest, Jones replied: "You invite me, I'll be there."
