The actor was given the boot by Donald Trump after project managing the men's Team Backbone to a failure in this week's food challenge, which saw them writing, producing and starring in a live cooking demonstration for Omaha Steaks in front of an audience at the Institute of Culinary Education.
They had to create three specific meals and develop an original Omaha Steaks variety pack, with the judges awarding points based on the brand messaging, variety pack and overall presentation.
Team Backbone
There was a general feeling of discontent on the men's team following Gary's survival last week. John thinks he's a "saboteur", telling him: "You do things on purpose to try to create enough conflict that someone could get fired." Gary denies this, but John tells him to "prove me wrong".

Gary hosts the demonstration, delivering speeches about the occasion-specific meals such as Anniversary (saying that healthy digestion will aid the romantic atmosphere) and Father's Day, while Meat Loaf (who had been worried that Gary hadn't left enough time for rehearsing) is the chef. They invite select members of the audience on stage to sample the food through a bingo-style draw.
Team A.S.A.P.
Hope steps up as PM and the women seem to work well together, apart from a slight bump when Hope decides to switch La Toya's steak cooking presentation to a burger presentation. "Oh well, here it goes again," says La Toya. "They are making it impossible for me to succeed." Hope is also worried that La Toya's soft voice won't project during the presentation.

Brand feedback
The reps thought that the women gave a good presentation and liked the logos on the aprons, Star's healthy meal and the variety pack idea, but thought they needed more live cooking rather than prepared food, and wished the team had said "Omaha Steaks" rather than just "Omaha". For the men, they praise Meat Loaf (and even suggest he could be a rep for the brand), the live cooking and the themes, especially Father's Day. However, they thought Gary's presentation dragged at parts, the variety pack had too many products included in it, and inviting the audience on stage was awkward.
Boardroom
The men immediately voice their discontent with Gary, with Meat Loaf saying that he's gone beyond anger and is now just "frustrated". He thinks that being the chef was "a lot for one person to take on", while John accuses Gary of "catastrophic collapse of time management". They also point out two spelling mistakes on the incorrect menu, blaming Gary, while Lil Jon says, "Gary isn't always here on Earth with us. He was already in outer space for the last two days. We were so frustrated. I didn't get anything to do. He made me cut up paper. I felt like I was in kindergarten." John also brings up his annoyance that Gary called him 'boy', although Gary denies this, explaining that he said "cowboy", though John doesn't seem convinced.
It's a completely different story on the women's team, as Hope says that every contestant was great to work with because they all did what she asked them to do, and their harmony pays off when Mr Trump crowns them the winners.

Gary, meanwhile, seems fine with Mr Trump's decision. "I have great respect for him and accept his choice with grace, kindness and understanding. I am departing in a very good mood... I can turn a thunderstorm and tornado into a rainbow and I'm flying over the rainbow tonight."
