Latest 'Think You Can Dance' result

Pauline Mata and Peter Sabasino have become the fifth and sixth dancers to be eliminated from So You Think You Can Dance.

Each of the remaining 16 finalists had performed on Tuesday night's live show before the voting was opened to the public for the first time this season.

Mata and Sabasino were axed during last night's results show.

They had landed in the bottom three alongside Ryan DiLello and Ellenore Scott and Karen Hauer and Kevin Hunte. Each dancer then performed a solo routine before the judges made their decision.

Mata is a 19-year-old jazz dancer from West Covina, CA, while Sabasino is a 22-year-old tap specialist from Philadelphia.

Last night's instalment also featured performances by members of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

So You Think You Can Dance continues next Tuesday on Fox.
