Latin ballroom dancer Hauer, 27, and 21-year-old contemporary dancer Smalley were given the boot from the Fox show last night.
They had landed in the bottom three couples alongside Mollee Gray and Nathan Trasoras and Ellenore Scott and Ryan DiLello.
Each of the six dancers then performed an individual routine before the judges chose to axe Hauer and Smalley from the competition.
So You Think You Can Dance continues next Tuesday on Fox.
