The British presenter has been recognised in the 'Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Programme' category for her work on So You Think You Can Dance.
Speaking on Good Day LA, she said: "I'm so excited! I screamed on the day! I was incredibly surprised, I couldn't believe it. I phoned my mother and she said, 'Well, that's not a bad thing is it? That won't do you any harm'."
Deeley told the show that she hasn't decided what she will wear to the ceremony on September 18, but did say: "I think I'm going to go very classic because I might never get nominated again!"
As for who she will bring, the presenter said that although she is "dating at the moment", she has not decided if she'll bring a plus one to the show.
Deeley is nominated against Survivor's Jeff Probst, Amazing Race's Phil Keoghan, Dancing with the Stars' Tom Bergeron and American Idol's Ryan Seacrest, although she predicted that she will walk away empty-handed.
"It's never going to happen but it's great that I am nominated," she said.
Deeley will front So You Think You Can Dance's two-night season finale tonight and tomorrow night from 8/7c on Fox.
Katie Holmes and Kenny Ortega will join Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy on the judging panel for tonight's performances, with the season eight winner being crowned on tomorrow evening's live episode.
