Part-time hairstylist Amber Jackson and stepper Brandon Mitchell didn't make the cut in the second elimination of the season, finding themselves in the bottom six performers of the night.
Judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and guest panellist Christina Applegate opted to save bottom female dancers Eliana Girard and Lindsay Arnold, who performed well-received ballet and contemporary dance routines earlier in the night.
For the men, the judges saved hip-hop dancer George Lawrence and Dareian "Dare" Kujawa, who performed a chacha routine earlier in the night with his partner Janelle Issis.
The dancers who made it to the next round were Issis, Arnold, Girard, Whitney Carson, Chehon Wespi-Tschopp, Cyrus "Glitch" Spencer, Matthew Kazmierczak, Amelia Lowe, Tiffany Maher, Cole Horibe, Audrey Case and Will Thomas.
So You Think You Can Dance will take a break for the London 2012 Olympics, returning to Fox in mid-August.
