Momsen 'has big Gossip stories ahead'

Gossip Girl's executive producer Stephanie Savage has revealed that Taylor Momsen will be pushed to the front of the show in the upcoming third season.

Speaking to People, Savage revealed that Momsen's high-school character Jenny will be on a mission to maintain her new-found Queen Bee status.

"We really do see Jenny struggling with what she is going to do with this power that has been given to her," Savage said. "She is back at Constance and now she is a junior - the same age as our other girls when the show started - so we have lots of story areas for Jenny that are opening up."

Discussing what lies ahead for the show's other pivotal characters, Savage added that Blair's future will be tainted by Georgina's arrival early on into the season.

"She is not going to be in our first episode, but she will be in the second episode when our kid’s start college," she said.

Season three of Gossip Girl is slated to premiere Monday, September 14 on The CW.
