'Gossip Girl' return pulls in 2.5 million

The season two premiere, which saw Chuck and Blair struggling with their new relationship, pulled in 2.52m during the 9pm hour. Earlier on The CW, the season seven premiere of One Tree Hill logged 2.59m.
Over on NBC, The Jay Leno Show made an impressive debut, pulling in 17.7m at 10pm. Earlier on the network, the final performance show of America's Got Talent averaged 13.84m between 8pm and 10pm.
ABC ran with Dreamgirls, which logged 5.01m between 8pm and 11pm.
Two reruns of House put in 4.75m and 5.15m for Fox at 8pm and 9pm respectively.
CBS had reruns all night, starting with a double-bill of How I Met Your Mother, which interested 6.19m and 4.73m at 8pm and 8.30pm respectively. Two And A Half Men took 5.95m between 9pm and 9.30pm, then 6.21m tuned in for The Big Bang Theory at 9.30pm. Later, at 10pm, CSI: Miami grabbed 6.03m.
