Baldwin: 'I feel old on Gossip Girl'

William Baldwin has joked that his role on Gossip Girl is making him feel old.

The actor recently signed up to play the father of Serena Van Der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively.

However, Baldwin told Access Hollywood that a few years ago he would have played a love interest for Serena instead of a parent.

"Three years ago I would have been playing the older man in her life and now, all of a sudden, I'm playing her dad," he said. "I would have been Blake Lively's lollipop three years ago. Now I'm Grandpa."

Gossip Girl is currently on hiatus, but will return to US screens on March 8.
