'Smallville' execs tease Darkseid reveal

It was previously reported that comic villain Darkseid will appear in the new episodes.
"Darkseid and his minions will be the new baddie this year," Brian Peterson confirmed to SFX.
Co-executive Kelly Souders added that the character will not appear in the upcoming season premiere.
"We're not bringing him in at the beginning of the season like we did Zod or Doomsday," she explained. "We're doing it a little differently. We have several of his harbingers we'll see along the way."
It was recently confirmed that Steve Byers and Michael Daingerfield will appear on the show as Darkseid's minions Desaad and Gordon Godfrey.
Souders also joked that the return of Clark's nemesis Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) is always a possibility.
"Lex always had a back-up plan," she laughed.
Smallville will return to The CW on September 24.
