UNICO National believes that Jersey Shore, which portrays Italian-Americans as the "hottest, tannest, craziest Guidos", is offensive, Access Hollywood says.
The group has also asked for the show to be cancelled before it is broadcast, complaining that it relies on stereotypes and showcases violence, cursing and bad behaviour.
Meanwhile, UNICO National president Andre DiMino described the programme as "trash television".
However, an MTV spokeswoman claimed that the network's reality shows document various subcultures and events in young people's lives.
She added that the Jersey Shore cast "takes pride in their ethnicity".
The programme will be aired for the first time on December 3.
