Titled Mama Drama, the series will centre around five mothers who choose to party and become friends with their young adult daughters rather than act as traditional parents to their kids, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The mothers and daughters will be placed under the same roof, similar to MTV's Jersey Shore.

"This show is emotionally and visually stimulating," Salsano said. "You can't stop watching. These characters are real and raw and don't apologise for anything."
VH1's Original Programming and Production EVP, Jeff Olde, also said that the mothers on Mama Drama "speak to a new cultural definition of age with women in their 40s and 50s no longer constrained by rules about how they need to dress or act", which allows them to create friendships with their daughters.
However, he continues that in some cases mothers "forget their role as a parent and a role model".
VH1 has ordered 10 episodes of Mama Drama, which will premiere on January 1 at 9pm.
The cable network also will be airing Ryan Seacrest's iHeartRadio Music Festival, which will feature Lady GaGa and Coldplay, on November 23 at 10/9c.
Salsano's Jersey Shore wrapped its fourth season last month.
