The reality star, who is pregnant and engaged, exited the Seaside Heights house last night (June 4) after only a week of filming the show's sixth season, according to Entertainment Weekly.
"It's not a prison," MTV's executive VP of programming Chris Linn said. "I know she's concerned about the perception of her being a pregnant woman in a party house.
"I think that's a common experience among a group of friends when somebody gets pregnant. This is an opportunity to see how she deals with it and how the rest of the house deals with it.
"The show has always been about following what's really happening in their lives."
Snooki is not the only cast member that is behaving more responsibly. Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino has given up alcohol after entering rehab earlier this year.
"They're starting to take those next steps into adulthood," Linn said. "What's going to be different this season is how much their lives had changed."
Last month, Snooki insisted that she would avoid the show's famed 'smoosh room', noting that she is taking her pregnancy seriously.
