MTV bosses announced today (August 30) that the show, which has had six seasons, will not be renewed after the latest run.
The show's resident DJ told MTV News that the last day of shooting proved emotional: "Everybody teared up, production teared up, we teared up, we couldn't believe it.
"I can't picture not going back to Seaside for the summertime. I feel like it's home."
On Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino, who is currently appearing on the UK's Celebrity Big Brother, Pauly D claimed that the latest season finds his co-star back in good form.
"I feel like we lost [The Situation] throughout the years and we got him back this season," he explained.
When quizzed on his plans upon leaving the house, the 32-year-old was non-committal. "Music has always been my top priority, but I love the TV side of it too," he said, before adding that he is considering another season of his spin-off show The Pauly D Project.
