The MTV reality show spent several seasons filming in the area, and individual cast members encouraged their followers to donate money and items to help out those affected.
Snooki wrote on Twitter: "Cleaning my closet today to donate clothes and whatever I can do [for] the victims affected by sandy! I'm comin with clothes!!!!"
When a follower encouraged her to donate money to help "rebuild the Shore", she added: "Yes, I am", and retweeted a message asking people to donate items such as food, clothes and batteries to shelters in New York and New Jersey.
Sammi Giancola pledged to do "anything to help the people affected by this storm, including my own hometown".
She added: "I will be helping the Jersey shore get back together altogether. This is my home."

Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino encouraged their Twitter followers to donate to the American Red Cross relief efforts via text message, and Guadagnino also advised Staten Island residents to be on the lookout for doorstep scammers trying to gain access to people's homes with the aim of stealing their possessions.
MTV said in a statement released to Examiner: "Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the hurricane, especially our friends and business owners in Seaside Heights, New Jersey who are now part of the MTV family.
"MTV is actively exploring ways to best help with the recovery efforts, and in the meantime we are encouraging everyone to donate to the American Red Cross's disaster relief efforts."
