'Battlestar's Katee Sackhoff joins '24'

The Battlestar Galactica actress has secured the role of series regular Dana Walsh, a data analyst at CTU's just-established New York branch. Her character is involved with CTU Field Ops head Davis Cole (the recently announced Freddie Prinze Jr).
Taking place in New York, 24 day eight revolves around a plot to assassinate a visiting foreign leader, played by Slumdog Millionaire star Anil Kapoor.
The new season of 24 will air on Fox from January next year.
