Jon Voight to play Bauer's new nemesis

Veteran film actor Jon Voight has signed up to play the enemy mastermind in season seven of 24.

Voight's character will be introduced in the two-hour prequel planned for the autumn, then feature heavily in the second half of the full run.

The four-time Oscar nominee, whose credits include Deliverance and Ali, has not appeared in a TV series since the late 1960s.
