1.02am: Mandy parachutes to safety in the desert while Jack and his team track down the flight's passenger list. Tony questions Jack about George Mason's visit prompting Nina to lie to protect Jack. Jack thanks Nina for her help.

Out in the desert, Mandy places Martin Belkin's ID card into a homing device and buries it just before a car picks her up. As they drive off, a motorcycle rolls up and locates the card using a tracking device. Back at CTU, Tony confronts Nina – he thinks she's covering up for Jack.

1.07am: Teri and Alan York turn up at the furniture store in search of the girls. Jack calls Teri to see how the search is going. Alan's search of the premises points to the fact that they were there. Meanwhile, in Dan and Rick's van, Kim worries about Janet who's been drugged. She tells the pair that her father's a federal agent and will find her no matter what.

Walsh goes to the Dunlop Plaza where he secretly meets CTU analyst Scott Baylor. He gives Walsh a key card which not only gives the user access to the building but contains data on the magnetic stripe. There's a file filled with references to Senator Palmer. Scott tells Walsh that information can therefore be smuggled in and out of restrictive areas without anyone knowing. Walsh is desperate for Scott's help but his pleas are interrupted by shots from the distance which hit them both.

1.12am: Jack receives a call from Walsh, who's desperate for help.

1.17am: On his way down town, Jack calls Teri to get an update. Teri tells Jack that they're going to wait at the store until the girls return. Meanwhile, in the van, Rick assures Kim that if she plays ball neither of them will get hurt by the "other people".

1.20am: Senator David Palmer talks to his wife Sherry. She still wants to know what Maureen Kingsley wanted on the phone.

1.22am: Mandy arrives at a base station somewhere in the desert. A shady Ira Gaines opens a brief case full of money prompting her to phone her accomplice to deliver the ID card.

1.23am: Jack arrives at 2350 Dunlop Plaza needing an entry code - 91367*. Jack enters the building. Meanwhile, Tony's attention is focused on Nina. He pulls up a call report from her chat with Jack.

1.29am: Jack makes his way up the building in search of Walsh, who appears not long after. Out in the desert, Mandy meets Jonathan, a man who has been made to look like Martin Belkin by plastic surgery.

1.31am: Tony quizzes Nina about her phone call with Jack. She lies and tells him that it was Division on the phone. In the Plaza, Jack and Walsh descend the stairwell. Walsh believes that there are more than likely two men in the building. They're shot at but as they try to escape, Jack kills them both, cutting off the finger of one of the men in a bid to identify him.

1.37am: A woman called Bridgit rolls up on the motorcycle and hands over a Polaroid of the ID card. She wants more money. Gaines, unhappy about the whole situation, threatens to kill her and has a gun to her head – but Gaines soon realises that she's the only one who knows where it is.

1.43am: Teri tries to call Jack but finds his phone turned off. She turns to Nina for contact details of the owner of the furniture store. Teri tells Alan that she and Jack had separated. Nina calls back Teri with details of the owner. She leaves a message on his machine.

1.44am: Senator Palmer's children, Keith and Nicole, arrive back at the hotel. Palmer receives a phone call from another of his helpers, Carl. He tells Carl about the phone call from Maureen Kingsley and insists on meeting him face-to-face. Secret Service agents arrive at the hotel suite only to discover that he has wandered out of the building without alerting anyone. The Secret Service agents tell Sherry that there's high confidence that there will be an attempt on the Senator's life later that day.

1.53am: Jack and Walsh exit the Plaza through the roller garage door only to be greeted by a sniper shooting at them. Jack returns the fire while Walsh offers Jack the keycard, insisting Jamey is the only one that can be trusted with it. The information on it will lead Jack to the identity of the dirty agent. When he throws the card to Jack, Walsh is instantly killed by a wave of bullets.

1.55am: Jack phones James and uploads the data on the key card via his car computer.

1.56am: Dan pulls the van over to an isolated car park. He threatens Kimberly to phone her mother and to say that she's at a party and will be home in a couple of hours. He smashes Janet's arm with a crow bar. On the phone, Kim does as she is told and tells her mother that she loves her. Teri knows there's something wrong – she never says that.

1.58am: Jamey uploads the name and profile of the dirty agent to Jack's computer in his car – It's Nina… Meanwhile, out in the desert, Jonathan practices with his rifle.
