Final 32 performance: J.D. took to the stage third in the first group of semi-finalists on Feb. 4. His performance of "All Is Fair In Love" was received well by Paula and Randy. Simon, on the other hand, said he felt J.D. looked like the American Idol but didn't sound like it. The viewers agreed, and he missed out on a spot in the final ten.

Next appearance: Along with the others who didn't make it, J.D. could be called back for the wildcard show on March 4.

Who is J.D.'s American Idol? J.D. doesn't have an american idol, although he lists Stevie Wonder as his favourite male artist.

Why does he want to be the next Idol? "I have wanted to be a recording artist for the past 3 years and I want to be a positive figure in the industry."
