'Idol' host denies judges rivalry

It was announced earlier this week that songwriter DioGuardi will join the judging panel of the talent search for the next series.
However, Seacrest dismissed speculation that there was any tension between the two women, saying: "Let's clear the air. Paula and Kara are great together.
"They used to live together and Paula helped her out years ago. Now the two of them are on the same team."
However, Simon Cowell said he would not discourage friction between the pair. "I love catfights. I encourage them. It's no fun if everyone gets along," he said.
"I wouldn't have recognised Kara by the way Paula described her. I was expecting someone maybe 50 years old, about 180lbs, maybe a bit of grey hair."
