22m tune in for wildcard show

The live wildcard results show of American Idol was watched by 22m viewers on Wednesday night, according to preliminary Nielsen Media Research numbers.

The strong ratings enabled FOX to win the ratings battle on Wednesday; CBS came in second place in terms of total viewers.
