The group’s guitarist Brian May expressed an interest in working with the American Idol runner-up, but Lambert said that he is not sure if he can commit to the band full-time, Pop Eater reports.
He said: "How do you say no to being in Queen? I mean, that's unbelievable. But at the same time, I do have my own thing to do right now, and that's my goal."
Lambert insisted that he is a big fan of the legendary group and would love to perform with them, but is concentrating on producing his first album and "could try to do both".
The singer added that he plans to co-write much of the music for his upcoming LP and would love to collaborate with some industry heavy-hitters.
"Madonna would be amazing," he said." I'd love to work with Madonna - I think she's a genius. She has great ideas. Lady GaGa is brilliant. She's got her finger on the pulse. She's the hot thing right now. Katy Perry's amazing, absolutely amazing."
