Blige 'tapped as guest judge on Idol'

Mary J. Blige has been tapped as a celebrity guest panellist for American Idol, according to reports.

The 'Just Fine' singer will reportedly join other high-profile names Victoria Beckham and Katy Perry, following Paula Abdul's departure from the series.

The R&B star will serve as a judge alongside Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi for auditions being held in Atlanta this Sunday and Monday, says the Los Angeles Times.

It was reported earlier that Blige will also appear on the seventh season of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
