Simon Cowell: 'I miss Paula Abdul'

Simon Cowell has admitted that he misses Paula Abdul.

Abdul left American Idol in August and later complained that she felt "disrespected" by the show's producers.

Speaking on US television show Extra, Cowell said: "I miss her, of course."

He added that he doesn't want to "get in the middle" of Abdul and the show's producers and remarked that the dynamic between the judges is "different" now.

"It's like comparing a carrot to a banana," Cowell explained.
