Beyoncé 'cries watching American Idol'

The star herself once entered a TV talent show in the 1990s when she appeared on Star Search with her first band Girl's Tyme.
According to Angry Ape, the 'Broken-Hearted Girl' singer said that she is reminded of her own battle to break into music every time she sees aspiring hopefuls competing on the reality contest.
"I don't watch much television but I've watched those shows and I've cried, I've welled up, I'm like, 'Oh my God, I hope they win, I hope they get a chance!'" she stated.
"And me being from Houston, Texas, there weren't many outlets for me and for the girls."
