Jennifer Lopez still in 'Idol' running?

Jennifer Lopez could still be in running to join the American Idol panel despite earlier reports that she was no longer a contender for the role.

It had been suggested that negotiations between Lopez and Fox had fallen apart because of her alleged demands.

However, an insider has now told Gossip Cop that "negotiations are still going strong" with the singer and actress, adding that reports to the contrary had been "wildly exaggerated".

Lopez has yet to comment on the speculation linking her to the show, and Fox has yet to confirm who will replace departed judges Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres when the series returns for its tenth season in January.

It was recently confirmed that Nigel Lythgoe has rejoined the series as an executive producer, and will work alongside creator and executive producer Simon Fuller and fellow executive producers Cecile Frot-Coutaz and Ken Warwick.
